Authorities evacuated the Camden Archives and Museum for several hours Friday after staff discovered what is believed to have been a live Civil War-era cannonball in its collection. The shell was eventually removed and destroyed. Assistant Director Katherine Richardson said staff member Lon Outen and volunteer Mike Acken were working on a collection of ammunition when they made the discovery around 11 a.m. Friday.
