An audit of the city of Camden’s Fiscal Year 2013 financial statement reveals that purchasing the former Maxway property and ramping up construction of a state-mandated wastewater treatment plant impacted the city’s bottom line. Mary Ellen Green, of Cantey, Tiller, Pierce & Green LLP, presented her firm’s audit of the 2013 fiscal year -- which ended June 30 -- to Camden City Council during its meeting Tuesday evening. Green reported that while the city generated $50,115 in income during FY 2012, FY 2013’s income dropped to $12,351.
