Public hearing on proposed city budget tonight

Camden City Council will hold a public hearing on the city’s proposed Fiscal Year 2018 budget during its meeting at 6 p.m. today. If approved, the proposed nearly $44.38 million budget would go into effect July 1. The budget consists of five funds: General Fund (approximately $9.919 million, representing 73.1 mils), Project Improvement Fund ($488,700, or 13.8 mils), Paving Fund ($368,700, or 10.2 mils), Utility Fund (nearly $32.634 million) and Local Source Revenue Fund ($970,000).
