The Camden Archives and Museum currently has a new and important exhibit on display, The American Revolutionary War in South Carolina. The exhibit includes a variety of artifacts as well as information about people involved in the war, from well known heroes such as Francis Marion, Andrew Pickens and Thomas Sumter, to lesser known players, including African-Americans, Native Americans and women. - photo by Jim Tatum
People looking for information about South Carolina during the Revolutionary War, or just looking for an interesting and different way to beat the August heat, might consider spending some time in the Camden Archives and Museum. The Camden Archives and Museum has opened another new major exhibit: “The American Revolutionary War in South Carolina.” The traveling exhibit, part of the S.C. State Museum’s Traveling Exhibits Program, examines the vital role South Carolina played in the Revolutionary War.
