Parts of the American Revolution came to life once again at Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site on Saturday and Sunday as the site presented its annual two-day Revolutionary War Field Days event. Thousands of visitors, including -- judging from some of the languages overheard -- some from thousands of miles away -- filled the war site Saturday afternoon as reenactors recreated the sights and most definitely loud sounds of the American Revolution. Saturday’s event recreated the Battle of Eutaw Springs, the last major engagement of the war in the Carolinas, which took place Sept. 8, 1781, on the banks of the Santee River.
