SCDOT seeks input on Broad Street 'road diet'
Placeholder Image
Citizens are invited to share their opinions with the S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT) on the proposed Broad Street “road diet” project for downtown Camden. The project has been approved by SCDOT and the Federal Highway Administration as part of a Transportation Investment Economic Recovery II (TIGER II) Discretionary Grant program. The project involves the narrowing of Broad Street from four to two lanes, along with studying the feasibility of and/or incorporating into the design parking modifications, bicycle lanes and other amenities to improve safety and livability in downtown Camden.
