“To provide jobs for existing residents and bring new residents to Camden by attracting businesses and industries.” That is perhaps the top goal Camden City Council decided to focus on following a five-hour strategic planning session held Feb. 17 at Carolina Central Technical College (CCTC). Led by Anna Berger and Bill Tomes of the University of South Carolina’s Institute for Public Service and Policy Research, council went through a series of exercises to come up with eight goals to work toward during the next 18 months.
