Camden’s dream of having a tennis complex for both casual play and tournaments will take another step forward at 4 p.m. today when Camden City Council hosts a groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony will take place at the corner of York and Campbell streets where the city owns six existing courts. The city took possession of the courts in 2016 from the Kershaw County School District by swapping it for the city-owned American Legion baseball fields on Ehrenclou Drive.
