The life of a tree
Post oak 4
Lyttleton Street was shut down for one hour between Hobkirk Court and Pine Street while Camden Public Works Department crews cleared the debris.
A Camden Department of Public Works crew worked Aug. 20 to remove a fallen tree on Lyttleton Street between Pine Street and Hobkirk Court. According to Camden Urban Forester Liz Gilland, the Post Oak was one she had already marked for removal through a hazard tree mitigation grant, “but Mother Nature took care of it for us.” Gilland said there were no injuries or property damage, but that portion of Lyttleton Street was closed for about an hour to clear the debris.
