(The Chronicle-Independent recently asked Liz Gillard, Camden urban forester, to share an update based on the state of trees in Camden when she came onboard nearly a year and a half ago and where things stand today.) Love ’em or hate ’em the trees are here to stay as they grace our streets, yards, parks, cemeteries and other green places. As mentioned in a Chronicle Independent article when I first started working for the city, a public tree inventory was conducted in 2008 and revealed about 6,300 trees.
