Camden City Council used much of its afternoon work session Tuesday to discuss transportation issues, including its pending move to a Columbia-area planning organization and a parking project south of Rutledge Street. Camden Economic Development Director Wade Luther spoke once again about the city being moved into the Central Midland Council of Governments’ (COG) Columbia Area Transportation Study (COATS) metropolitan planning organization (MPO). The move also includes the town of Elgin and some unincorporated areas of the West Wateree portion of the county.
