Tree cutting starts

State Tree Service, the contractor selected by the city of Camden to remove hazardous trees under a tree mitigation grant, began work Thursday along Lyttleton Street. Camden Urban Forester Liz Gilland said the Dalzell-based company will remove 35 trees tagged as either dead or dying or that also posed a safety hazard to citizens. Gilland has said those who live near the removed trees can apply to receive free firewood from the cuttings.
