City of Camden electric, water and sewer rates will be going up again come July 1. Camden City Council unanimously passed a resolution Tuesday night to increase the city’s electric utility rates by 3 percent. Mayor Jeffrey Graham and Councilman Pat Partin explained this was part of a two-year-long effort to spread out a 25 percent hike levied by Progress Energy, the city’s wholesale electric provider.
