Waste water treatment plant hearing Tuesday

Camden City Council will hold a public hearing Tuesday to receive comments regarding the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) mandated wastewater treatment plant the city must build by August 2012. The hearing will be held near the beginning of council’s meeting Tuesday, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Also on Tuesday’s agenda are two resolutions, both to approve the purchases of property by the city. The first resolution would allow the city to spend $4,448 and an unspecified “gift” to purchase a 50-by-50-foot parcel of property from Dilmar Oil Co. on U.S. 521 near I-20.
