A 2-year-old Cassatt girl died Monday night from injuries sustained in a two-car collision a little after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Old Georgetown Road West and Robinson Town Road. Kershaw County Coroner David West identified the victim as Dixie Deas, who was pronounced dead after arriving at KershawHealth at 7 p.m. West said the little girl was a passenger in the rear seat of the vehicle. S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP) Lance Cpl. David Jones said the woman driving the vehicle -- a 2006 Chrysler PT cruiser -- was traveling east on Robinson Town Road when she apparently failed to stop for the stop sign at Old Georgetown Road West.
