The man accused of entering two Camden convenience stores and demanding money by claiming an accomplice was in a car with guns is now behind bars thanks to an alert Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy. According to a pair of Jan. 24 Camden Police Department (CPD) reports, Christopher Lewis Tyler, 39, of Spears Creek Road, Lugoff, entered the Circle K at the corner of DeKalb and Mill streets in Camden just before 9 p.m., walked up to the register and said, “I need you to open the register and give me everything you have in there. There is someone else in the car with a gun.”
