A 1-month-old baby was taken into emergency protective custody Friday after Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) narcotics investigators arrested the child’s parents during a methamphetamine lab seizure at a Lugoff motel. Investigators arrested Heather Leann Studd, 26, of Bethpage, Tenn., and 26-year-old Jonathan Michael Pope, also of Tennessee. Deputies charged both with possession of methamphetamine and also charged Studd with possession of Schedule IV narcotics.
