A Camden man is behind bars in the Kershaw County Detention Center after Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested him in connection with a stabbing early Saturday morning. Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Joseph Mathis, 23, of Lystra Road, Camden and charged him with attempted murder after Mathis allegedly stabbed another Camden man multiple times about the head, upper body and hand, according to a KCSO press release. According to the press release, KCSO deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 1000 block of Kennedy Street in Camden at about 7 a.m. Saturday following reports that a man had been stabbed.
