A 64-year-old Cassatt woman will spend the next 12 years in a state prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to four drug charges. Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) narcotics agents arrested Doris Hopkins Lester, 64, of Cassatt Road, Cassatt back in late February for trafficking in heroin, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and two counts possession with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled substances. Lester pleaded guilty to those charges on Tuesday, according to online Kershaw County Clerk of Court records.
