Charges at Cup consistent despite lower turnout

The "quality," alcohol enforcement trained (AET) officers at last Saturday’s 81st annual Carolina Cup, made charges consistent with previous years, despite the fact that Cup attendance numbers seemed to be "slightly" down from last year’s Carolina Cup. Carolina Cup Racing Association’s (CCRA) Assistant Director Terri Leigh Teed said the CCRA doesn’t have the grand total yet, but the number will most likely fall within 55,000-60,000 this year. The CCRA expected a slight decrease in numbers due to Easter weekend and spring break schedules, she said.
