Columbia car chase ends with teen’s arrest in Camden
Car Chase Ends
Camden, Columbia and Kershaw County law enforcement officers surround a gold Honda Accord that was carjacked from the drive-through line at Zaxby’s in Camden. The 17-year-old suspect had already carjacked a Toyota 4-Runner in Columbia, which was disabled by stop-sticks on the Camden side of the U.S. 1 bridge by city officers. Although he is not being named, the suspect is being charged as an adult and is being held by the Columbia Police Department at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. (KCSO Facebook photo)
The Columbia and Camden police departments arrested a 17-year-old Cayce boy following a long vehicle chase that ended at Springdale Plaza on Sunday around 8 p.m. The chase started earlier after Columbia Police Department officers responded to a carjacking at a Columbia apartment complex.
