CPD chief surprised with lifetime law enforcement award
Joe Floyd Award
Camden Police Chief Joe Floyd accepts the 2021 S.C. Law Enforcement Officers Association Lifetime Achievement (SCLEOA) Award from Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green, who is currently the SCLEOA’s president. Green and other guests, Camden City Council, city staff, Camden Police Department personnel, and family members surprised Floyd with the award as he attempted to give his annual statistical report during council’s meeting Tuesday. Floyd has been Camden’s police chief since 1998. This year will mark his 50th year in law enforcement overall. In the background (from left) are Camden Police Department (CPD) Lt. Penny Lloyd, Camden Assistant City Manager Caitlin Young, and retiring CPD Records Administrator Gayle Pitts. (Gee Whetsel/C-I)
