A Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy used a Taser to keep a 45-year-old Lugoff man from harming himself with a knife following a series of events on the evening of April 6. According to a KCSO report, deputies responded to U.S. 1 in Lugoff near a transmission service garage after hearing the man had thrown a 40-year-old woman from a vehicle and left her on the side of the road. Deputies found the woman who said the man, upset about some trouble in Myrtle Beach, said he wanted to hurt himself and started cutting his wrist and neck.
