Placeholder Image
A man posing as a Charleston police officer called a Camden home and said that the residents owed more than $300 in speeding tickets. The man said they had been caught on tape speeding and instructed the resident to purchase a GreenDot card and call him back with a card’s number. The victim called the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) and one of the deputies called the unknown “officer” back posing as the homeowner.
