A Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy arrested a Camden man Thursday for trafficking cocaine after stopping the man for speeding. A KCSO report said the deputy arrested 42-year-old Johnny Leroy Benson of Wateree Boulevard, Camden, after he saw a vehicle driving 62 mph in a 45 mph speed zone in Lugoff. The deputy reported he could smell alcohol in the vehicle and Benson, a passenger in the backseat, said he had been drinking.
