(Editor’s Note: Due to space considerations last week, we are running an extra Crime Report today, including incidents from the Camden and Elgin police departments we were unable to run Friday.) Camden Police Department (CPD) officers arrested a 31-year-old Camden man for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia just before midnight May 23 after observing the SUV in which he was a passenger fail to keep its lane of travel. According to a CPD report, while talking to the female driver, an officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the SUV. The woman claimed she and her male passenger had just smoked a joint. Officers asked both of them to step out of the SUV, during which the man continued to claim there was no marijuana in the vehicle.
