The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) may charge a 35-year-old Elgin man with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature after allegedly taking control of his former roommate’s vehicle while riding in it as a passenger a little after noon on Feb. 4, causing it to wreck. According to a KCSO incident report, deputies arriving at the scene on the 700 block of Watts Hill Road near Elgin and found a gold-colored car up against a tree. Initially deemed an accident and turned over to the S.C. Highway Patrol, a deputy later went to KershawHealth’s emergency department to speak with a female victim.
