(The online version of this week's Crime Report is expanded from the print edition.) Camden Police Department (CPD) A 25-year-old Sumter man apparently really didn’t want to go to jail when officers arrested him for DUI around 8:20 p.m. Christmas Day at the newly reopened Burger King on East DeKalb Street. According to a CPD report, one of the officers had already detained the man outside the vehicle and asked another officer to assist with the field sobriety test, which the man failed. The second officer then handcuffed the man and brought him to the front of his patrol vehicle so where he began reading the man’s Miranda rights.
