Speeding motorcyclist fails to get away from deputy

Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies arrested a 33-year-old Gadsden man riding a motorcycle following a brief chase on U.S. 601 in Lugoff on June 30. According to a KCSO incident report, a deputy was on patrol when the man sped by at 74 mph in a 55 mph zone heading southbound toward Richland County. The man failed to stop after the deputy activated his blue light.
