The Kershaw County Alcohol Enforcement Team, working with the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), cited three businesses for selling either alcohol or tobacco to minors as part of an undercover enforcement effort. In the first case, on the evening of June 7, a clerk at a West DeKalb Street, Camden convenience store sold a 12-pack of light beer to a 19-year-old confidential informant who used a marked $20 bill to make the purchase. Deputies cited the clerk and advised him of The ALPHA Center’s class for alcohol merchants.
