The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested one of two men Friday accused of posing as cable company employees in order to rob an Elgin home. KCSO deputies arrested Maurice Actona Williams, 26, of Ridgeway in Fairfield County on warrants charging him with first-degree burglary, armed robbery and kidnapping after determining that he and as yet unidentified second suspect robbed a couple in their Thorton Drive, Elgin home at gunpoint. Williams and the other man -- reportedly posing as cable company employees -- arrived at the home around noon May 22 and told the homeowners they needed to inspect their cable box.
