Man uses sock to vandalize car, assault owner

A Lugoff man allegedly used a rock-filled sock to vandalize a car and assault the car’s owner. According to a Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) report, deputies arrested Christopher Shearon, 33, of White Gull Road, Lugoff, on charges of vandalism, assault and battery, assault on police while resisting arrest and threatening the life of a public official. A deputy responded to a Horsehead Road residence where he was told Shearon had damaged the windshield of the victim’s car with a sock containing several rocks and then used the sock to strike the victim on the arm.
