Suspect sought in armed robbery, attempted murder

The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is seeking information about a man who reportedly stole nearly $1,400 at gunpoint from a Lugoff market and fired a shot at a man working nearby on Oct. 3. According to a KCSO report, deputies were dispatched to a neighborhood market on Wildwood Lane in Lugoff in response to an armed robbery around 9:20 p.m. Dispatchers also advised deputies the subject had fired one shot a Fairfield Electric Cooperative worker on East Ridge Road beside the store. The male victim said he was coming down Wildwood Lane toward Wateree Elementary School when he saw a male subject run out of the market wearing a white mask.
