Man shot by cousin during argument over vehicle

A Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy responded to a call of an Elgin man shot in the leg by his cousin Sept. 6. According to a KCSO report, the deputy arrived on Archer Avenue to find a 44-year-old man shot in the leg below the knee. The victim said his 39-year-old cousin, who lives in Columbia, tried to shoot another man in the chest during an argument about a vehicle the other man was repairing.
