A third lawsuit alleging that a former Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy assaulted a man during an arrest was filed on Feb. 27. The lawsuit names former deputy Jonathan Goldsmith, the KCSO as an agency, and Sheriff Lee Boan for allegedly hiring Goldsmith and keeping him on as a deputy despite various examples of his alleged violent behavior toward suspects.
