For four years, Jamie Dixon plied his trade in Elgin: selling drugs, often in exchange for stolen property. Dixon, 33, is now sitting in a federal prison, having pleaded guilty earlier this month to conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and 280 grams or more of cocaine base. “Dixon was involved in a drug conspiracy which began in the summer of 2006 and had been captured on videotape by undercover law enforcement distributing illegal narcotics on multiple occasions from September 2009 until October 2010,” South Carolina U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said in a statement released Tuesday.
