Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies stopped an elderly man in Lee County after a low-speed chase on I-20 following an alert for a reckless driver without headlights on I-20 in Kershaw County. KCSO deputies were already at I-20 Exit 101 where they had stopped a van coming from Georgia and arrested a convicted felon in possession of a firearm when dispatchers broadcast a “be on the lookout” alert for the reckless driver. Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews was driving westbound on I-20 at the time and saw the vehicle without lights passing the rest area in the opposite direction.
