Elgin man arrested on numerous drug charges

During the early morning hours Thursday, Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) narcotics investigators arrested James Clerf Javins, 41, of Roberts Drive, Elgin, after they discovered nearly 2 ounces of crack cocaine, 8 grams of cocaine, 4 ounces of marijuana and 20 oxycontin pills following the execution of a search warrant on Javins’ residence. According to a KCSO press release, agents executed the search warrant at approximately 6 a.m. Thursday. Once inside, they discovered the crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana and oxycontin pills in Javins’ bedroom.
