Woody Goff, executive director of the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County will have a court hearing Aug. 8 on DUI (first offense) and open container charges in connection with his arrest by a Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputy around 4:15 a.m. June 23. According to a KCSO report, the deputy responded to U.S. 1 in Lugoff following a call from another driver that a red SUV had run off the road multiple times and had almost struck another car. The deputy located the SUV stopped on the shoulder of the road in the northbound lane and conducted a traffic stop, noticing that the brake lights were on.As he walked closer, the deputy shined a light into the SUV and saw Goff -- the only person in the vehicle -- leaned back in the driver’s seat with his eyes closed.
