The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) cited five county businesses -- two each in Camden and Elgin and one in Lugoff -- for selling beer to underage individuals during an undercover operation Monday. During the operation, underage persons working with the KCSO attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages from 38 locations in Kershaw County licensed to sell alcohol. In the five cases, store clerks actually sold the beer to the underage purchasers.
