A federal judge recently sentenced a Florida man arrested by the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) in February 2012 for his role in a fraudulent tax return scheme. In a statement released Monday, U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said Senior U.S. District Judge Margaret B. Seymour sentenced Amondo Samuel Burke, of Tampa, Fla., to 33 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. Burke pled guilty in May 2015 to one count each of theft of government funds and possession of 15 or more unauthorized devices.
