Three accidents claimed the lives of two people from Camden and two from Elgin during what may be one of the worst traffic fatality weekends in recent Kershaw County memory. The first accident took place around 1:15 p.m. Friday on Red Hill Road. According to S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP) Cpl. Sonny Goff, the driver of a 1999 Ford two-door died after it and a 2006 Ford SUV struck each other head-on.
