Was struck by truck after leaving Camdens Little Theater
A woman struck by a pickup truck while she and her 13-year-old grandson were crossing DeKalb Street from the Little Theater in Camden on Sunday evening is recovering at a Columbia hospital, according to her daughter. Jill Herron, 64, of Rembert, was leaving the movie theater around 6:35 p.m. after watching an afternoon matinee showing of “Paddington 2” when she was struck by a truck while crossing the street. According to a Camden Police Department (CPD) accident report, Herron was walking south across DeKalb Street towards the Wells Fargo parking lot when she was struck by a 2005 Nissan pickup being driven by a 62-year-old Bethune man in the eastbound left lane on DeKalb Street.
