A circuit court judge deferred setting bond Wednesday for an east Camden man charged with fatally shooting a 17-year-old boy who may have been stealing items from one of the man’s trucks. At the end of an approximately 45-minute hearing Wednesday, Judge L. Casey Manning said he needed more time to weigh the circumstances surrounding the death of Brandon Scott Spencer against what he’d heard of the character of defendant Jimmy Joe Methe, 49, of Norden Drive. Manning said he would make a decision by either today or Monday.
