KCSO arrests 5th car break-in suspect

The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a fifth suspect in connection with a string of car break-ins that occurred in August. According to a KCSO press release, on August 22, 2016 some 20 car break-ins and at least one vehicle theft in the Tall Pines and Stratford Plantation subdivisions in Elgin were reported to KCSO. Following intensive investigation and with the help of Richland and Fairfield County Sheriff Departments, KCSO arrested four individuals from Richland County who were allegedly responsible for these break-ins and the vehicle theft. On October 10, 2016 an additional suspect in the auto break-ins, Enoch Amir Palmer, 18, of West Columbia, was arrested in Lexington County, according to the press release.
