KCSO arrests fugitive in major drug bust

A Camden man who never showed up for court hearings in connection with a June 2017 arrest on drug and weapons charges is now behind bars again. According to a Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) press release, on Thursday, deputies and agents of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Ike Joel Mitchell, 32, of Chestnut Street, Camden and charged him with one count each of trafficking more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, trafficking between 10 and 28 grams of methamphetamine, trafficking 28 or more grams of heroin, trafficking between 10 and 28 grams of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule V controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a pistol and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. According to online Kershaw County Detention Center records, Mitchell is being held on a total $190,000.
