KCSO arrests man for A/C copper thefts, sales

Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) investigators arrested a homeless man Tuesday for destroying two air conditioning units from a Lugoff business, stripping the copper from them and selling the copper to a local scrap yard. A KCSO press release identified the man as Shawn Michael Bowers, 47, whose age is listed as 48 on the Kershaw County Detention Center (KCDC) website. The press release indicated Bowers is homeless, living in a truck with his dog.
