KCSO arrests two for passing counterfeit bills

The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested two Columbia residents Friday for allegedly passing counterfeit money and attempting to obtain money by fraud. According to a KCSO press release, Reginal Nigel Hingleton, 27, and Dorothy Tiwanda Watkins, 30, shopped at Food Lion in Elgin and paid with a counterfeit $50 bill. They then took their purchase to Food Lion in Lugoff and attempted to return the merchandise for a cash refund.
