The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested two suspects in similar cases this week. The first arrest came Thursday when a KCSO Traffic Unit deputy arrested 39-year-old William Clay Ellison of Orangeburg on a charge of driving under the influence and reportedly found a half-ounce of cocaine, 3 ounces of marijuana and a stolen handgun during a search of the vehicle. A KCSO press release said the deputy patrolling on Koon Road made the traffic stop and smelled alcohol and marijuana in the car.
