KCSO seeking state accreditation

The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is looking to better serve the community and its own employees with state law enforcement accreditation. The KCSO is currently working toward getting state accreditation through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation (SCLEA). The accreditation is voluntary, but “demonstrates the willingness of an agency to want to provide a better service to the community and commitment to operating at a higher standard,” Sheriff Jim Matthews said in a press release.
